WP Domain name redirect to a WP subdomain
-
I currently have a paid WP site (infinityfamilytherapy.com) and a site note on WP currently (infinityeftintensives.com). Is it possible to create a subdomain (intensive.infinityfamilytherapy.com), transfer the other domain to WP, and map to the subdomain. Is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, I’ll just leave this here https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-subdomain/ and I’ve also flagged your forum thread for Staff attention since I don’t think that guide will answer all your questions.
Additionally, if you have a WordPress.com upgrade plan on your site that gives you access to direct support, you can follow this guide to contact the WordPress.com support team https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/#how-to-contact-us

Hi @fsdre,
It’s definitely possible to create a subdomain likeintensive.infinityfamilytherapy.comand bring your other site content over to WordPress.com — but before we get into the specifics, I’d love to understand your goals a bit more so we can suggest the best setup.Could you tell us a bit about what you’re aiming to achieve with this configuration?
- Do you want to consolidate both sites under one WordPress.com account and domain?
- Is the subdomain intended to fully replace the current
infinityeftintensives.comsite? - Are you hoping to keep both sites live with different purposes or audiences?
Once we know more about your vision, we can walk you through the next steps. Whether that’s mapping a subdomain, transferring content, or setting up redirects.

Thank you Josefhtest,
“Do you want to consolidate both sites under one WordPress.com account and domain?”
-Yes.“Is the subdomain intended to fully replace the current
infinityeftintensives.comsite?”
-Yes – but would probably keep the domain name also, redirected to the new subdomain.“Are you hoping to keep both sites live with different purposes or audiences?”
-both sites live. Similar purpose and audience, the subdomain is a sub-niche of the primary site and audience. The two sites have links between them. -
Thanks for the clarification @fsdre7!
Since you’re aiming to have both domains display the same site — with
intensive.infinityfamilytherapy.comreplacing the current self-hosted site — it sounds like you’d like everything consolidated under one WordPress.com site and account.Just to confirm:
- Would you like to migrate the content from
infinityeftintensives.comto WordPress.com, so it runs under the new subdomain? - Are you also interested in transferring the domain
infinityeftintensives.comto WordPress.com, so both domains are managed in one place?
