Apparently i have an (email visible only to moderators and staff) and a dozen people have said that they have sent in mails to that email…how do i access them ?

We are not an email provider, so you cannot have an
@wordpress.comemail address under us.Would you mind letting us know why you thought you did? There might be something we can help clarify.

Sorry ,My bad , I was not clear with the description of the problem.
Apparently there is a default admin email Id attached to the name of my website…. goes like
‘admin @ mywebsite.com’
I made a contact form using a plugin and unbeknownst to me ,the responses to the form go to the default admin email.
Could you please help me access it ?
Thank you :)

It sounds like you’re using the open source WordPress software – that’s where such a default email address get created, and emails are sent from your server using the
wp_mail()function built into that software. But the forum you’re posting in now is for WordPress.com, the hosting provider. We’re not the same thing as the WordPress software you’re using.
Please contact support for the plugin you’re using directly for help with how that plugin works.
For general help with the version of WordPress you’re using, including stuff like configuring emails sent by the site, you can ask the WordPress.org community over at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
