WP Forms and Recaptcha

    Hi there. I have two recaptchas on my site. One on my wp form and the other on my mailerlite newsletter sign-up form. Although I have the no conflicts button checked, they don’t work together. The one of the wp form doesn’t work and the one on mailerlite does. Do you know of a way to fix this so that both forms work? Please let me know. Thanks. Diana

    Can you tell me what you’re experiencing when you say the CAPTCHAs aren’t working please?

    The reason why I ask is because I can click the ‘I am not a robot’ button, without a hitch.

    Also, it looks like site: https://dianageorgelos.com/ is self hosted WordPress, so the support might be limited.

    Hi aleone89,

    After I do the recaptcha, and hit submit, I get a message that says “This field is required.” and the form doesn’t progress to send. If take off the recaptcha, the form sends just fine. Do you have any suggestions? I’m thinking of putting an hcaptcha instead to see if it fixes the problem. What do you think?

    Also, can you clarify for me what the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org is. I’m not sure which forum I’m supposed to be using if I have a self-hosted site. I always log-in through wordpress.com to get to my wordpress. Is that the wrong way to log in? Any guidance you can provide would be helpful. Thanks. Diana

    To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.

    That is absolutely fine. You’re able to do that because your site is connected to your WordPress.com account via Jetpack, but it’s not hosted on our servers.
    Because of that, we can’t really help much here.

    I’d suggest contacting the developers of the recaptcha plugin you use on your site, or posting to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
