Hi there!
Can you clarify if you want to transfer in your site to WordPress.com?
If so, we offer a couple of options for moving from Self-Hosted WordPress to WordPress.com.
Option 1: Use our Migration tool to move all your site’s content, plugins, and custom themes to WordPress.com. This is available to Business plan owners and above and we will migrate all of your site’s content as well as plugins and custom themes.
Option 2: Use the Export/Import feature to import just your site’s content, including posts, pages, and media. This option can be done on any plan level, including free.
You can review the different plan options here:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/
You can start getting your site set up here before switching your domain over as well.
When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.
Here’s a guide that will help you migrate your site to WordPress.com that has all the information you’ll need:
https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/
Note that you will need a paid plan at the time you want to map your domain to the site.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for giving me that quick reply. Yes, I will transfer crisisdata.online to WordPress.com , if you will provide me with the discount. Regards, Fred

Hi Fred!
The discount code for attending the webinar will be sent out via email tomorrow (it will be a follow up email from attending). Once you get that, you can apply that to your purchase!
I hope that helps!

Hi.
I have tried to host (with paid plan) my wp website: https://crisisdata.online at wordpress.com. Something went wrong. Instead of my website:
‘ crisisdataonline.wordpress.com ‘ is running now.
Please advise how I can change that and how to change an existing account with username wp ‘healthlines’ . I do prefer to start all over again.
Regards, Fred F. Meijer

Hi Fred,
Any site created on WordPress.com will need a free subdomain (like your crisisdataonline.wordpress.com); after upgrading to a paid plan, you will be able to transfer your custom domain over, as explained here:
https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/.
how to change an existing account with username wp ‘healthlines’
I’m not quite sure what do you mean by that, as your account is currently called
healthlines. Could you elaborate a bit? -
OK! It’s clear to me. Thank you for your support. No need to elaborate. I’m sure I need your future assistance for other experiences. Regards, Fred F. Meijer

Please, give me an advise. I’ve transferred my domain succesfully. (F.F. Meijer, business plan ; https://crisisdata.online). The site is online on my desktop, but not on my mobile. What should I do? Regards, Fred F. Meijer

server changes can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate all over the internet. There is nothing you can do, besides just waiting.
-
Does that mean that after the server changes everything (domain, content, etc) is transferred and the site is online?
-
@healthlines – it all depends on where you are on your site transfer process. If you just moved your domain, you still need to move your site content over to the new site.
Since you now have a Business plan, you have access to priority email and live chat support and our Support Staff there can help walk you through that process and advise on any other questions you may have. You can reach them here:
https://wordpress.com/help/contact
We can continue helping you here, but you’ll get much faster help from our priority support team.
I hope that helps!
