WP-Image apperance on facebook page

  Hi,
  I have a facebook page that automatically show all posts I post to my wp-blog. But the image shows tha last image in the post I uploadet, not the featured-image to the post that i want it to show. How can i fix this?

  With due respect I have answered this question so many times that I have memorized the answer.

  This is not a WordPress.com issue. The image that Facebook selects is entirely up to them. They use a very strict set of criteria which we have absolutely no control over. There isn’t currently a way to pick out the image manually for a WordPress.com post but you may try using a theme that supports featured images. http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/
  If a featured image isn’t set or your theme doesn’t use featured images, then the code tries to pick the first image in the post or page. If no image is found, then the blavatar is used, which is one reason you may have seen a logo in some cases. http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/ Try making sure the first image in the post or page is the one you want to see used.

  Thanks but none of the links that you gave actually addresses the issue, not one of them. Thanks anyway, just another typical word press annoyance to deal with.

  Did you try making sure the first image in the post or page is the one you want to see used?

  Aside from that, I linked to all that we know and that information was provided by Staff:

  • Only the first five images uploaded to a post (direct inclusion/gallery/slideshow) will be sent to Facebook. The images size has to be at least 200 x 200 pixels.

    To select which image will be used for things like Facebook Publicize, you can use a theme that supports featured images. If a featured image isn’t set or your theme doesn’t use featured images, then the code tries to pick the first image in the post or page. If no image is found, then the blavatar is used.

  I have the same problem and I tried setting a featured image but Facebook still seemed to keep choosing the last picture or one at random so I switched to using Networked Blogs to automatically put my posts on Facebook, which I’m not crazy about.

  Hi there,
  If Networked blogs is auto-posting posting the images and the blog post link then will you share what it is that you are not what then aren’t you crazy about?
