    WP import stuck – pls reset!

    I have reset the WordPress importer tool for your site. If you still needed to import some content, you can do so from Tools > Import.

    If you’re importing a large amount of content, I would recommend attempting that import in smaller batches instead. For example, you can export posts by date range from your original site to obtain a series of smaller export files.

    Let us know if you have any further difficulties with this.

    Hate to ask again but it got stuck a 2nd time

    The size of XML file is good and accepted by the uploader but gets stuck
    This time

    947 posts, pages, and media files left to import

    What is an acceptable number of post?

    Hi @ourcog. I’ve reset the import tool again for you, so you can try that import again now.

    It’s difficult to provide an estimate on how many posts you can import at a time, as that often depends on the data for the specific posts you’re importing. I’d generally expect any file under 15 MB in size to import successfully, though larger files can be compressed to a “ZIP” format and that often works too.

    I’d recommend trying a smaller number of posts, perhaps 500 or so at a time if possible. Keep in mind that larger files (or a larger number of posts) can cause the import process to take much longer too.
