-
Hi there,
i hope you can help me as i lost access to wp-admin on my wordpress page. I changed for testing reasons in wp-admin the domainname from test.ars-cantica.de to ars-cantica.de and now i lost access as http://ars-cantica.de/wp-login.php is 404. Using google i only saw solutions editing some php files but i believe i can´t access via ftp to wordpress.com.
How can i fix that? Thanks and best for any hint regards MarkusThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
It looks like the site you are looking for help with, test.ars-cantica.de is not hosted here on WordPress.com. It appears that you are using a self-hosted version of WordPress.org software.
Unfortunately this forum you have posted on is specifically for sites hosted here on WordPress.com. Here is a link that explains the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org if you are interesting in knowing more: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Here is a link to the support page on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/support/. You may also want to try to contact you hosting provider for help.
Hope this helps guide you in the right direction :)

Thanks for your feedback but test.ars-cantica.de is definitly hosted here.
I do have a static webpage at http://www.ars-cantica.de. I wanted to move to WordPress.com and created a nice new one at http://test.ars-cantica.de. Today i wanted to check the required steps to disable the static one and move to the new webpage at wordpress, but made a mistake in changing the URL insode wpadmin.
One hour ago http://test.ars-cantica.de/wp-login.php was working fine but then i removed “test.” . Without the CSS the site looks strange now but when login into http://test.ars-cantica.de/wp-login.php he want´s to open http://ars-cantica.de/wp-login.php without the “test” which is the static site :-( I ran a backup via BackUpWordPress before the change, but without proper access to wpadmin i can´t even access the backup… -
Hello @arscantica,
I have spoken to one of the Happiness Engineers just to be sure and to confirm my original thought that your site is not hosted by WordPress.com, as I did not want to be pointing you in the wrong direction if we could help you out here!
You are absolutely using WordPress.org software (the theme your site is built with) and are connected to WordPress.com login through the use of JetPack. However, the hosting for your site is not here at WordPress.com, rather your Name Servers are pointing to:
docks02.rzone.de
shades03.rzone.deThe original links I provided above will help to explain this in a little more detail, and will direct you to WordPress.org support.
Support for the Jetpack plugin that may be causing the log in issues can be found here: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/
I hope you are able to get this resolved :)
