WP "My Site" Buttons/Links Not Working/Loading

I have a free blog hosted by WP. I wanted to write and publish a new post today, however when I clicked “My Sites”, nothing loads. It just says “Loading My Sites…” and nothing happens. I can visit my blog outside of the admin panel and all of my content is there, but I can’t write any new posts, check notifications, etc. No buttons on the admin panel seem to be working once I click them. My account settings won’t load either. Please help me understand how I can add new content, and why my admin panel is not functioning properly. Thank you!!

I’m sorry you can’t add new content to your blog. That’s kind of the point!
First, have you tried accessing your admin area from a different browser or different device? If it works on another device, this Browser Issues walkthrough can help get your main machine working again: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If the same issue happens in a different browser or device, write your results here and add the tag “modlook” to this forum post. That calls for staff to look at this thread. They can look at your account details to see any clues there.

Thank you so much, Jesse! I tried it in Chrome and in Safari and the same thing happened. I will see if I can figure out how to add another tag!

Can you please try clearing the browser cache and cookies as suggested in the link Jesse gave above? Also check if the site works if you log in using an incognito window in Chrome.

Okay, your browser settings appear fine. The fact that it works in incognito is an important clue, though. That points to this most likely being caused by a browser add on.
To check this, go to chrome://extensions/ and disabled all your extensions. Then clear the cache and check My Sites. If it works, then we’ve confirmed it’s an extension causing this. Now re-activate the extensions one at a time, checking My Sites after each one. When it stops working, you’ll know what extension is the culprit.
Alternatively, if you have any ad blockers, privacy extensions like PrivacyBadger, or anti-malware extensions installed, try disabling those first, as they are usually the ones that cause trouble by preventing JavaScript code on a site from running.
