WP not taking my password
-
Typing my user name and password onto WP’s home page and it is not accepting. I have to go to the forums and click on ‘new topic’ to get the screen to ask for a user name and password, and at that point, it will take my info. This is extra work and I don’t understand why it won’t take it on the homepage anymore…?
Thanks in advance :-)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here’s the link so you can contact Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and at the bottom there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
-
That link says:
“First, let’s try to narrow down what you’re contacting us about. Please enter a few words that describe your question/problem.”
Not what I want. And when I type something, it’s not doing anything. The page just stays the same. I’m hearing you say I need the link for staff and I’m afraid I’ve forgotten where it is. What is the direct link to contact staff that doesn’t make you type in stuff in a search engine first? (It’s not working)
Thanks!

Do you type anything… and then click on Search?
Then, it’s as timethief said. Say you haven’t found the answer and the form will appear.
-
“…at the bottom there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?”
Those words are not on the bottom. This is the wrong link or my computer is in the Twilight Zone b/c all that shows on this link is a search. If anyone knows the specific link on how to contact staff, I would appreciate it. THANK YOU
-
jinx… I didn’t know you were writing in. Thanks. There is no writing on that page that says have I or haven’t I found the answer. Am I in the Twilight Zone? When you click on that link, do you see those words? All that’s coming up on my end is SEARCH.
-
I just clicked on the link from @timethief and typed “junk” in the search box and clicked on the “Search” and a contact box / form opened up for me.
-
When I type the word “password” into the search box & hit enter, the following happens:
A field appears “How can I reset my password?” which then give instructions.
Just below that is “Have you found the answer to your question?” and then a “yes” and a “no” with radio buttons next to them. When I click the “no,” the bottom of the page expands to show the contact form.

One of those days – I tried the page three times just to make sure @timethief had the correct link and I clicked or hit return.
-
I’m doing exactly what all of you are saying and it makes sense but what I’m saying is… it’s not working on my end. I type a word, “password” and nothing is happening.
I don’t get to any other page. Something’s wrong on my end.Could you provide the direct link that has the form on it? I can fill it out and send.
:-)
-
Yep, it is one of those days! I considered logging out and seeing whether the behavior changed, but I wasn’t that ambitious, I’m afraid!
-
You see, that is the link with the form.
Could you please answer my previous question?
Do you type anything… and then click on Search? -
1. This is the link I was given and there is no form on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
2. I type “password” and click on search and nothing happens. Or I don’t type and click on search and nothing happens.
3. You’re saying to type a word and then click search and that obviously brings up a *new page*. THAT’S the page I need. Is it unfair of me to ask to be linked to that page?
I don’t want to take up anyone’s time any longer, including my own. If you can’t or don’t want to link me to that page -fine. It’s not worth it.
-
It doesn’t bring up a new page. As I said, when I did it, the page “expands” with the new options below it.
Try clearing your cache & cookies and restarting your browser. Or use a different browser. It’s possibly a browser issue. I was using Firefox 5.0.
