WP online is too slow with multiblogs.
-
I have a dozen of blogs and hundreds of posts and pages, there is no way that I can have an overview on all this by working online with WP. Nor does WP export to the desktop.
It seems that I will never be able to get control of my blogs.
Any suggestion ?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could try using an offline editor. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

I am Mac user; WLW and BDesk are for Windows. I’ve been using Windows many years but now I would never return to it, although I have a PC too (besides Mac)

Those are the choices, either an offline editor (regardless of platform) or working online.
I often use a plain text editor to write my posts and then format them after pasting them into the WordPress.com editor.
Just out of curiosity, what “overview on all this” are you hoping to have and for what purpose?

I am surprized by Justjennifer question and method of working with WP.
– A plain text editor , which one ? does it have formatting that WP accepts ?
The formatting is done with Templates in WP.– I cant imaging somebody posting hundreds of posts and not caring about reviewing them. I cant review them with WP, it is too many clicks and slow.
There is no sitemap or a simple tree structure you can look, you have to click and click all the time and that is why people use an offline Blog Editor. -
JustJennifer’s method is probably the most common, and sane, method of posting on WP. I don’t speak Apple, but on a PC it’s just the Notepad text program, then copy and paste into the WP editor and use WP formatting tools.
Go to Dashboard > All Posts > Screen Options > Show On Screen, set at 200 or 300 or higher, and you’ll have a list of most / all your posts, and be able to quick-edit or edit your posts at will.

@hermanminkowski- once I post something, I tend not to go back and reread it unless I am referring to it in another post or want to remember something from the post. However johnnytesting’s suggestion about changing the number of visible posts in the Dashboard is an excellent one.
Regarding the plain text editor, sorry for my brevity. My PC plain text editor of choice is EditPad Classic. And, when I mentioned that I format my posts after pasting them in the Editor, I was referring to text formatting (bold, italic, etc.) not theme styling (template). By definition a plain text editor does not have any formatting; that’s why it’s “plain text”. :)

Johnnytesting: remmember I am a multiblogger!
Each blog needs than to be set to 200 posts to show !
This is not the solution of the problem.
The solution would be if WP would have an export command to export it all to the Desktop and work from there just as with f ex DropBox . Do you know that program ? -
OK. WP online is slow.
The solution would be if WP would have an export command
to export it all to the Desktop and work from there just as with f ex DropBox . Do you know that program? Will this make WP Online (Means Dashboard!) faster, but how?

I think, wordpress.com dashboard is one of the easiest online editors. I’ve written some of my posts in my classroom, when attending lectures using my third grade mobile and that too in web version. The internet speed, here is too slow, almost 10 kbps when using via mobile operator. I never got any problem like this. I’m using forums with the same phone, because it’s 22:30 here and we are to sleep.[/comment]This post should be in “Ideas” forums.
