WP options — what to do

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve just set up a WordPress.com account because I want to have blogs
for my two existing Web sites. I know html and css pretty well, but am not
knowledgeable in php or other programs that would allow me to independently
use wordpress.org(?) and go from there. So, (and since I have no IT person)
I have opted to use this strategy:

    1. Create WordPress sites for blog purposes only with the WordPress footer

    2. Link to the WP blogs from my standard Web pages without changing my URLs
and having the WP foother onsite.

I suppose I could revamp my current pages to WordPress but that would require
identifying it as a WP document, right? I’d rather not do that.

Any comments on my strategy? Has anybody got URLs that approach it this way?
    Any optional approaches?

    Thanks for any feedback.

@ benqq, do this below before you can get help.

To link you username to your blog > Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.
