WP page embed not showing in public view

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello, I have 2 sites listed under my account: Aim2D and Uengager.

My Aim2D home is set to Latest Posts – not Static Aim2D page.

I began using LEVEN theme in Aim2D, switched to Blank Canvas in order to enable Site Editor.

I am not certain sure what theme Uengager uses – maybe a Bonzai Levin?

Uengager’s home page is set to static.

    The issue:

Using Embed block to show Aim2D posts in Aim2D site works.

Using embed to show Aim2D pages in Aim2D site works.

Using embed to show Uengager pages in Aim2D site works – with 1 exception

Using embed to show Uengager’s HOME page in AIM2D site does NOT work.

Interestingly, I CAN see the embed in EDIT mode, but it does not appear when published.

    IE: not visible to public.

Initially I thought this was a repeat of the previous ‘Related Posts’ and ‘Reusable’ blocks issue not showing after using Site Editor.

I can’t swear to it, but I am reasonably sure this was working before I set up Site editor.
However, experimentation (above) seems to have ruled this out. Faulty memory?

    Right now I am confused.

    Cheers

    P

  • Hello there,

I am not certain sure what theme Uengager uses – maybe a Bonzai Levin?

https://uengager.wordpress.com/ is using the Leven theme: https://wordpress.com/theme/leven

Using embed to show Uengager pages in Aim2D site works – with 1 exception

Ok can you tell me what that exception is please.

Using embed to show Uengager’s HOME page in AIM2D site does NOT work.

Can you tell me where the embed is placed in AIM2D please.

    Many thanks in advance.

I answered both your question in my original post.
I would prefer not to hear from you again.
I did say that after our last two futile encounters.
Can someone else pick this up please?

When you make a new post on the forums, we don’t have access to any previous information and these are the types of questions we ask when trying to troubleshoot an issue for the first time. We’re all here to help, so I would encourage you to review our community standards and best practices going forward.

Additionally, these public forums are staffed by both volunteers and WordPress.com staff, and threads aren’t assigned to any individual so anyone can review and respond to your thread nor can you request a specific individual.

Looking at your forums profile, you’ve made a number of posts regarding this topic in the past month – could you link us to the thread that is your “original post” so we can have that information? Or, you can simply find that original post and add another comment to continue the conversation there.

    Thanks!

    Hello, thanx for your reply.

I am just a little confused why I need to review stds and best practices when for the last 3 times tone team member has picked up one of my questions they have clearly not taken the time to read it nor the link I provided to previous posts.

Isn’t this what the US call “victim blaming?”
Seems the core of the issue is not with me.
99.98 of my interaction with the WordPress team over several years have been outstanding.

    Anyway let’s move forward.

In this case, there is no previous post perse that would be any more useful than my original question. I am pretty much sure I have included all relevant info there and it details my problem.

In this case I am sure it is not a tech issue, rather something I have done, or not done. I just can’t pinpoint it!

    Thx
    P

  • Hello there,

In this case I am sure it is not a tech issue, rather something I have done, or not done. I just can’t pinpoint it!

If you’re able to provide fresh links in this new thread (to avoid confusion) we’ll be happy to help you narrow that down if you require.

    Many thanks.
