  Hi there, Have you already tried https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/

  Also, if your site was on the WordPress.com business or ecommerce plan and you installed plugins, before you can delete your above site, it might be necessary for Staff to revert the site to how it was prior to installing the first plugin. This will likely remove all content added after that.

  Please reply here and confirm that you’re okay with that.

  Hi, thank you. I have already ported the site over to a new host and this appears to be a shell remnant from that time. I was on the business plan but this site is no longer showing under “my sites” in my WordPress.com account. I am not able to remove the site as I already deleted it.

  Will closing my WordPress.com account accomplish this?

  To confirm, you have everything you need from https://garlicheadblog.wpcomstaging.com/ safely saved to your computer and/or migrated to your new host?

  I can delete the site but this is permanent so I want to be sure. Thanks for confirming.
