WP Support
-
Just wanted to be clear on WordPress support while considering upgrade to Business or Premium plans. Directing me to a page of info is fine.
What ‘type’ of support is available… telephone? Email? Chat?
What’s typical turnaround time for getting in touch with support?
Thank you.
Cheers.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @johnrc123
WordPress offers many great ways to connect, and turnaround time has been good in my experience to get the support I need. Please follow this link to learn more about all forms of contact WordPress.com offers – any paid plan will give you email and live chat options.
As a side note, there is also the Personal plan – please check this link for a comparison between the available plans.
Have a good one!

Hi johnrc123,

It looks like staff-dpwordpress has given you links to the information you need. In the meantime, if you have any more questions about upgrading, just let us know :)

Thanks again.
I’m not clear on which plan, features or plug-ins I’d need to facilitate something for seminar bookings. Got me some pretty specific requirements there. Anyone I can contact?

Hi johnrc123,
I’m not clear on which plan, features or plug-ins I’d need to facilitate something for seminar bookings.
You would need to use plugins to add this type of functionality to a WordPress.com site. Custom plugins are only available on sites with the Business plan, so you would need to upgrade from the Free plan you are currently using.
Once the Business plan is active, you should be able to install any plugin from the WordPress repository. We have some more information about using plugins with the Business plan in this guide:
Anyone I can contact?
The Business plan includes email and Live Chat support so there are plenty of ways to get in touch if you need some help with your site.

Thanks again for your time, gemmacevans.
Not to belabour, but having very specific (and perhaps complex) requirements from that plugin, I was hoping there was a way to find out if it’s even possible before incurring the subscription costs. What do you think?
Cheers!

Hi johnrc123,
I was hoping there was a way to find out if it’s even possible before incurring the subscription costs.
We don’t provide free trials I’m afraid but we do have a 30 day refund period (48 hours for domains):
This would give you the opportunity to experiment with plugins and request a refund if you are unable to find one that does what you need.
