WP top bar messes layout

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi

    Just basically the layout is fine when I’m (or someone who is viewing the site) not logged in, but when logged in the top wordpress bar is visible and pushes all content downwards EXCEPT the background image. For example:

    body {
    background:url(‘http://domain.files.wordpress.com/year/day/backgroundImage.jpg’);

    Is there a way to move the background image with css IF user is logged in? I guess I could somehow put that image inside a div but that will take lot’s of changes …if even doable :(

    This is one of the drawbacks of putting all the page graphic elements into the body selector as a background.

    The body background should only be the blue/tan gradient with the scroll work. The logo and the email graphic should be separate and put into the header selector. The background for the menu and top part of the content area (with the image) should likely be put into the main selector.

    Phew. Got it working. I just made the #wrapper 100% and put the image to it’s background and aligned the rest.

    Solved :)

    Good, that will work. Now the image will float with the rest of the content and remain aligned.

    Nice job on the customization by the way. It looks really good.
