wp visitor stats dont count all hits, time for ISO standard
-
I figured out that the wp visitor stats dont count all hits. I ‘ launched ‘ my site this weekend. I had yesterday 10 visitors according to wordpress stats. I also used goo.gl to create short urls and add them to tweets. Counting these revealed that I had at least 35 hits by goo.gl.
This appears very strange to me. Why is it that wordpress stats are not correct? Maybe there are better plugins, but there is not view on the method so reliability stays absent.
In industry and technic branches they work with ISO standards as a benchmark. It would improve internet business a lot if there were standards for counters and some other plugins. Not only the advertising business takes advantage of that, all related companies do. It improves the global economy in general.

The answer varies depending on which version of the software you are using, and there are clear signs you are in the wrong support forum, but I can’t confirm that until I have the URL.

For what reason does one URL have another treatment when placing a counter or stat widget on his site? I understand that people with paid / own hosting have more possibilities.
But still …. there should be a sort of benchmark or a set of agreements or something like that. In that way all bloggers worldwide know they get the same quality.
I never heard of a benchmark, a calibration for quality on the internet. Maybe there is one then please inform me. If not then international traders should coöperate and create benchmarks to calibrate everything. Maybe it’s more a political matter. Again,…..they should think about the economical advantages for the global economy.
