WP won't accept youtube vid url

    I’ve posted videos on page side bars frequently using the url from YT & Vimeo so am used to the process however when I tried to do one recently I get a msg saying “Sorry, we can’t load the video at the supplied URL. Please check that the URL is for a supported video file (.mp4, .m4v, .webm, .ogv, .flv) or stream (e.g. YouTube and Vimeo).” This has never happened before. Is it a glitch or has something changed since I last did a video widget?
    I’ve posted a screen shot of the msg in media.

    Hi there,

    This is a bug with the video widget.

    Please use the text widget instead – if you paste the link on its own line in the widget it should also embed.
