WP.com crashed when I was editing!
-
Okay. When I started a long post and WP implemented it’s ‘improvement’ (yanking the content field’s scrollbar in my edit page), that came right in the middle of that job. I thought I’d split it up into three parts. I was losing control of things and, additionally, WP was choking on the whole thing. I was typing, but letters wouldn’t even show up for a few seconds, with the lag increasing as the post lengthened.
I split the post into three parts and totally lost my way. Strange things happened and I couldn’t even say tell you about all of them. On top of a job crisis (which hasn’t been resolved satisfactorily), I really didn’t need all of this chaos. I’ve been unable to focus on this long post. I have done up shorter ones in the meantime. I am having a hard time motivating myself to get back to this big job, but I’m poking at it. Just now, it looks like I’ve lost more work because of a crash. I had all three sections of my post open (and will sometimes have four separate parts open) and was adding a link to the third when everything crashed. All I could do was abandon it and open it again. I have to re-read so much material just to find where I was…
What is my question? I have none. I doubt that anyone would have an answer for me here. I’m just letting off steam. Although, Someone can let me know whether having multiple posts open (in either the edit or the preview modes) is a good idea. For me, It’s a good idea if I have some hope of harmonizing my long post, which I intend to make into 3 posts.

Can I not make the ‘text editor’ my default? I am terrified every time I go to the edit page, which I just did after returning to my work after posting the above, and see it in visual mode. Visual mode has meant grief for me. It didn’t appear as a big block of text and code this time, which it has done for me many time, but I don’t want it to, ever. The only thing I ever needed from the visual editor was the ability to indent, and now that I’ve been clued into how to do that with codes, I won’t be needing the visual editor again. And I’m becoming seriously annoyed with the absolutely useless Bee Bop appendage. Why is that there at all?!!!!!!
