  Hi.

  I bought some credits and registered a domain through wordpress.com (www.balikbayanconcierge.com). I want to improve the current blog and learned that if I want to use other wordpress templates that I downloaded which are not in the current standard templates of wordpress.com, I must use wordpress.org, download the version and buy hosting services.

  My questions:

  1. Can someone plase confirm if the above information is correct?
  2. If it is correct, how do I go about moving my wordpress.com to wordpress.org?

  The above information is correct. The Domain Name upgrade only changes the URL of the blog; it is otherwise in every way a WP.com blog.

  To have a WP.org blog, you must download the software from WordPress.org, then re-upload it in webspace which you rent from a web host. Then you can Import your blog from here to there.
