  I am setting up this website as a school project and we are to do for free in the business. We have to link our contact us page to our school email so the teacher can look at it and make sure it works. I have tried the Wpform but as far as I can see this can only be used on a paid site.

  Is this for your contact page listed here?

  Contact Us

  If so, you need to edit the page and insert a Form Block that you can use to configure a contact form. This block is available for free sites, so you should be able to get that set up without needing to upgrade. You can read about how to set this up here:
