WPML compatibility

  Hi there,
  I’m seriously considering to subscribe to your Business plan, but I have one last question: would WPML work with WP.com? I asked them, and they replied me that, in theory, yes (since your Business plan allows to upload third-party plugins), but suggested to double check with you. I would like to translate my website in 2 languages.

  Hi Robin,

  WPML can be used on our Business Plan, yes. As with all plugins we can’t guarantee it will work in all circumstances, as it’s impossible to test every plugin and theme with every other plugin and theme out there for compatibility issues, but on a standard WordPress.com Business Plan site you shouldn’t have any problems – that plugin does not have any known incompatibilities with the plugins installed on all WordPress.com sites by default.

  Keep in mind we don’t offer FTP access on WordPress.com, even on the Business Plan, so actions that require you to upload or modify the website’s files directly will not be possible here. I don’t know if that plugin might require you to do something like that – just mentioning it as something to be aware of :)
