WPress YouTube code not working

  Hello folks,

  The WP code for posting YouTube videos as explained here http://wordpress.com/blog/2006/01/26/youtube-support/ doesn’t seem to work for me. When I post the code into my entry it comes up as formatted text up on the blog.

  Does anyone have any ideas?

  I’m running WP 2.0.2 on Dreamhost.

  I’m running WP 2.0.2 on Dreamhost.

  1 – 2.0.2 needs to be upgraded to 2.0.3 because of a minor security issue. See here for an explaination, a link to a zip file of just the files that need to be updated as well as a link to a fix for a small problem with the upgrade.

  2 – You need to be over here for stuff like this. We here at WP.com are running a different code base than what you do on your website. That’s why the code doesn’t work for you on your blog. Um, that’s also why the links on your blog point over there and not here. :)

  3 – You need a plugin to display videos on your site. I strongly suggest using WP-ExtremeVideo as that’s what I roll out to my clients.
