Wrestler’s Section is slow loading & then stops responding.

    All of my other pages are fine, but I can’t update my Wrestler’s Section. It is extremely slow and then stops responding.

    hello there,

    I checked your site and can see that the wrestler section loads fine and you can try another browser or the slow response must be from your internet.

    Can you clear your browser cache by following this guide (https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/) and try again, then send us the results? You can also try with another browser or even from your phone or tablet.

    I should have clarified. It’s not when you view the page. It’s when I edit it.

    I can confirm that page loads for me as well. But I could not help but notice that it is a very long page (55,000+ words) and it took me quite some time to scroll to the bottom.

    I think it will help if I clarify that while we do not place a hard limit on how much content you can add to a page, there is a practical limit as to how much text and/or images you can add before it becomes a challenging amount of data to stream across the network.

    In your case it does sound like there may be an issue, which could be due to your computer or browser, or possibly your home network connection is slow, and struggling to transmit that data and “timing out”. This is something that @olumite007 and I might not see on our end since we likely have different computers, browsers, and network connections to the internet.

    If I can make a suggestion, I think it would be a good idea to consider breaking this single page up into a few pages so that you do not continue to run into this issue. It seems like you may be at the limit of what a single page can output based on your setup.

    Again, it’s not an issue with viewing the page. I don’t have that problem. It’s when I edit it.

    The length of the page and the number words would cause an issue when editing.

    I’d recommend following the above suggestion and breaking the page up into a few pages so that you do not continue to run into this issue.

    Thanks for your help, but I will deal with it. This page will be done in 3 months when the year is over. So, there’s no point in changing it now.
