Write post appears to be disabled (access error on page)

Hello, I have just started setting up a blog for the very first time. So far I have run into one snag. On the Write Post page (http://chrisdowns.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php), I can type a title for the post, but I cannot click/type in the text area (in either form — WYSIWYG or HTML code). Further, there is an error listed in the status bar of my browser (Internet Explorer). At two different times the error has said either “Access is denied” or “‘tinyMCE.selectedInstance.spellcheckerOn’ is null or not and object”. I have not found the answer to this issue on the forum although some issues sound like they may be similar? Thank you for your time. – Chris

I think I’m having the same problem since yesterday. I swear it wasn’t a connection problem, it says, “We’re sorry! An error has occurred: Client data (HTTP request?) took too long; timed out.”. I can access to other sites, can leave comments but saving a new post would then eventually gives errors.
I did all that – cleared browser’s file, cookie cache and found no avail.

I do believe you’re having a different error, knoizki. But to ask, is that coming out as a browser error or a wordpress error?

Funny, now I got this message:
“Goshdarnit!Something has gone wrong with our servers. It’s probably Matt’s fault.
We’ve just been notified of the problem.
Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal.”
LOL. So I assumed it’s the wordpress.

Not a big deal so I guess I’m just getting a cup of coffee and wait till the normalness returns.

I’ve had similar errors off and on for a number of days. They appear to be related to the autosave (sometimes it will autosave and then nothing I type from that point on will show up when I publish it) and the Tiny MCE editor (sometimes it pops up an empty box, freezes and I have no choice but to hit Publish and then go edit later.
If you can’t even put your cursor in the typing area, simply hit Refresh. That has been working for me. Sometimes as well, I get a box which is neither the HTML editor nor the visual editor, just a box in which to put code. Refreshing takes that away and gives me my normal post box.

That message “Goshdarnit” has been going on and on until today. It’s really annoying!
I can’t save a single page when I want to update it.
I have few attempts to post an entry and it always give me that “something went wrong – 503 errors”.Maybe it’s just me? What’s happening?

ahhh. i solved this problem (maybe).
I happened to noticed a malformed post. I was NOT even able to delete it in WP, so I went into MySQL and deleted it from the Posts table. Viola! Now the errors: “Access is denied” or “‘tinyMCE.selectedInstance.spellcheckerOn’ is null or not and object” disappeared! and I can see/use both Visual and Code view again.
Corrupted feed? Not sure how, but this one post is what caused it on my site: http://www.rvtravelnews.org
