Writer and Title Far Apart

  Hey, today I was trying to make a post, but I find the box where you wright is at the bottom. This is very hard due to me having to use the sidebuttons, and I need to scroll up whenever I need to use them. It would be very much appreciated if you guys could help me fix this.

  I’ve noticed the new editor do some funny things when resizing the browser window, so that could be the case here as well. I’ll tag this for staff to make them aware of this bug.

  Meanwhile, you can also use the classic editor to write your posts. For the classic editor, go to the WP-Admin dashboard, and click on Posts ->Add New to create a new post.

  While trying to duplicate this issue I noticed something else: If I resize the new editor to it’s smallest size the sidebar becomes hidden behind a gear icon. All good thus far. However, if I click the gear icon to reveal the sidebar and then make the browser bigger again without hiding the sidebar first, the screen goes completely crazy with the sidebar overlapping the text box and nothing in the correct place. Fixing it required making the browser small again, hiding the sidebar, and then making the browser bigger again.

  Don’t know if it’s related to the OP’s issue, but I thought I’d mention it as I don’t think that should happen.

  @kokkieh — Thanks for reporting that. It’s a different issue, and probably not a high priority one for our team to investigate. The view you see with a gear icon is meant for tablets and other mobile devices with smaller screens and where the browser can’t be resized, so it’s not as likely to run into that issue. That said, I’ll certainly report it to our team to let them know.

  I reckoned one would be unlikely to see that error on a computer screen. If I wasn’t trying to duplicate the other problem I’d never have seen it :)
