Writing a blog in 2017 theme
-
Hi,
I want to start writing a blog on my website. Why on earth I should need to come to a forum to ask how to see what I’ve written and display it on my site is truly baffling, since wp is supposed to be a blogging platform. It annoys the hell out of me just contemplating it. However, what I need to know from one of the valiant experts who represent this nebulous and unaccountable company is this: How do I publish what I’ve written in my blog post to my 2017 theme website so it is visible to readers and webcrawlers alike? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/baskerville-2 that’s where set up instructions for it and the live demo site link is found.
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/ where we have a search box as the most prominent feature on the page.
These support docs are useful for getting started:

Note that is site https://jbankscompapps.wordpress.com/ is not wearing the twenty seventeen theme. It has bot been updated since November 29, 2015 and is wearing the Cols theme. https://wordpress.com/theme/cols
I assume the reason you are posting here is that you cannot access the site wearing the twenty seventeen theme. What is the URL of the site in question?
-
why has someone added ‘The blog I need help with is jbankscompapps.wordpress.com.’ The page is shineshowreels.co.uk. I didn’t write this and I don’t want a list of documents to read thanks. I want someone from WordPress to tell me the answer to my question in steps.

The software automatically links to the primary site that is assigned to the username account you are logged in under when you do not enter the relevant URL at the outset.
shineshowreels.co.uk is hosted by One.com
Name Servers:
ns02.one.com
ns01.one.comThat site is not on wordpress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum to get support for it.
WordPress.COM sites and WordPress.ORG sites have different logins and support forums. You are posting to the wrong support forum for support for your software. Also be aware of who the web host is for your site(s) and contact them for any hosting issues.
That site is not hosted on wordpress.COM servers. This is wordpress.COM support. We do not provide support for local installs of wordpress.ORG software, or for wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. Read the differences here https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
-
if they’re completely separate why, when I click on help in the back end of my wordpress site, and then support forums, does wordpress – who made the software and the means by which it is edited, send me to wordpress.org?
