  How do I write a guest post on a website that has sent me an invitation to participate as an admin/author?

  Do I need to manually add the site/blog to ‘My sites’?

  Need your advise.

  Hi there,

  On WordPress.com, users are able to add users to your website by sending invitations. To send an invitation, you’ll want these two pieces of information:

  A person’s username or email address (used to create an account at WordPress.com).

  In order to let you create post, the inviter must provide you the role of Editor or Author. (Otherwise, you cannot add posts)

  In your case, once you receive the invitation email, click the “Accept Invitation” button in that email. (You will receive the e-mail in your WordPress.com registered e-mail)

  You will now be able to access the invited blog by visiting the My Blogs section of your dashboard.

  (Please note that, as an added user, you need to be logged in via your WordPress.com account)
