Hi there – In which Editor are you writing the sourcecode? The New blue Post Editor or in the WP Admin Post Editor?

If the first, are you writing in a web browser or in the Desktop App?

The blue editor on a web browser.

Thanks for confirming.

This issue may have been addressed in the now 25 page long forum feedback thread on the New Editor, but I’ve also tagged this for Staff attention.

• Hi, @dsin

Do you have a link to a draft or published post where this is happening so I can take a look? It will help to see what you’re writing in full so I can reproduce this.

If you’re saying “next edit”, do you mean you leave the post editor, and then later come back to work on the draft some more, is it when editing and updating an already published post, or is it happening when you click the Save link in the editor?

Additionally, are you using the text or visual editor mode?

example article that have problem : https://dsin.wordpress.com/2015/12/17/ant-script/

I press edit button from the article page to jump to the post editor.
step is
1. press edit button from the article page
2. now we noticed that in the editor < is changed to <
3. publish
4. press edit button from the article page
5. now we noticed that in the editor < is changed to <
6. publish
7. press edit button from the article page
8. now we noticed that in the editor < is changed to &amp amp lt;
9. publish
10. and so on.

I used visual mode, not a HTML mode.

• Hi there,

There’s already an open issue for this on GitHub, so our developers are aware of the problem. I’ll update you here when I know more.

For now the workaround is to use the WP-Admin editor where this doesn’t appear to be happening. Keep in mind that even if you fix it in WP-Admin, the moment you edit the post in the new editor this will start happening again.

Let me know if you have more questions about this.
