Writing/editing issues
-
Hi, I seem to have some writing issues on my blog. The toolbar looks different – some buttons are missing (it has the following buttons: b, i, link, b-quote, del, ins, img, ul, ol, li, code, more, proofread, lookup, close tags). The scrollbar is moving at the beginning of the text while editing etc.
I have made a caption of the page blog in edit mode to better illustrate these issues, but I don’t think I can post it here.
Wonder if you can suggest a “remedy” for a smoother blogging. Until last week everything was fine. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It sounds like you have the “HTML” tab active in the editor. There are two tabs to the right top of the text area, Visual and HTML. Click on the Visual tab.
If the visual tab is not there, go to users > personal settings and at the top deselect “disable visual editor” and then save your changes.
The moving in the editor is a known issue with Internet Explorer. What version of Explorer are you using?

My visual editor isn’t working. See http://twitpic.com/3mc9aw
I’ve checked and it is not disabled. -

This is just a crazy guess, because your picture seems to indicate that the size of the post box is “0” lines?
settings —> writing —> “Size of the post box” —> type a number —> save changes
(Note: I can’t force my test blog to display 0 lines, so if that is what has happened there is something wrong we volunteers can’t help with)

On second thought, you might just have a browser issue.
Try clearing cache and cookies, restart browser.

Hi Dadge
In future, when reporting a new issue, I suggest you start a new thread, instead of posting in an existing one.
As for the Visual Editor problem, check out the page 1tess linked to:
