Writr: wide content area, visual post editor width

    Hi,

    I really like the new Writr theme, and especially appreciate the option to make the content area wider than the default (making the blog much more readable), but I wanted to report first something I believe to be an error in the visual editor CSS, and secondly give a suggestion for a more general editor option (assuming it doesn’t already exist; I couldn’t find it when I looked through my blog settings options just now).

    First, the error: I’ve learned via this page:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/visual-post-editor-is-not-working-correctly

    that some themes provide CSS for the visual editor, and this CSS can limit the edit textarea width to match WYSIWYG when the blog post is published; great. I suspect Writr has one such CSS rule defined (my current editor wraps the text a little more than a third of the way across my wide screen—which is super odd and disorienting when “in the zone” / writing, in my opinion), and that there has been a mistake, in that setting the “Wider Content Area” theme option in Writr does not correspond to an appropriately-wider editor textarea.

    For reference, my current editor visual:

    ===

    Secondly, I would like to propose a general WordPress option either under a user’s “Personal Settings”, or on the editor page’s “Screen Options” settings (or some other, appropriate place), to override theme CSS in the classical post editor, and use WordPress defaults (i.e., full-width, no funny fonts or margins: just an editor). This appears to be the default in the new WordPress/Reader “modern” post editor (which lamentably does not have built-in support for post Categories—one reason of several reasons I prefer WordPress to Tumblr, since Categories help me keep my thoughts organized more easily/effectively than the nebulous Tag Cloud):

    and I would very much like to see the option for the “classic” blog post editor, too. It would help with the weirdly-wide left/top text editor margins one can see in my screenshot, as well.

    Thanks for considering!
