Written in the present posted in the past from the future.

I’m very new to wordpress so this might be super simple and obvious, but I couldn’t find any info about it.
I’m writing a blog that starts last year, so I know that I can change the date so it will look like it was posted on a past date (say December 1, 2012). But this blog is about fictional events and depending on how much time and inspiration I have, it might catch up to and pass the current date. I am looking to see if I can have a post that is written today, will post today, but is dated in 2014. All that I see right now is I can change the date, but it will then post on that date (which might be ok sometimes but not always). Here is a complicated example.
It is currently 8/8/2013 My fictional posts start on 12/01/2012. However, the future version of this fictional character is looking back on their blog and is posting something that should show up BEFORE 12/01/2012 but is being written in 2014.
Can I change the “Written” date to 2014 but have it show up before 2012? And can I write something today and have a “Written” date of 2014 without it waiting 2 years to be published?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Basically, no you can’t. What you CAN do is manually put a deadline in at the start of each post and make it whatever you like.

What do you mean Deadline? Or is that supposed to be Headline? :) Yeah, I was thinking I might have to put the date as the subject line of the post.
