wrong account type

  Somehow I have signed up for the wrong type of WordPress account. I need a free blog site for a school project and I have registered an e-mail and username. Now it keeps taking me to a page to purchase a domain name etc, which I don’t want to do. It doesn’t seem possible to even access the free blog sign up page while logged in and I cannot find anywhere to contact staff. I would like to use the e-mail and username I have signed up with. Does anyone know if there is there anyway to do this? Thanks in advance

  Hi,

  See the topic Can’t find a free option to launch my site. Why? After clicking the “Launch Site” button, in order to obtain a free site you have to choose “Skip Purchase,” as described by @supernovia in that thread.
