Wrong author name appearing on shared posts

As the title says, really – when I share something to my Facebook News Feed, it says ‘by Pxxxxxx Patel’, (won’t use his full name) the name is a link to his FB profile.
I have no idea who he is. I am the only author on the blog, this is not someone I’ve ever had any contact with. Why would his name be appearing on my shares?

Have you checked https://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/ to make sure your sharing icon link URLs are correct?

I’ve got this issue as well. It is caused by the Pxxxx’s FB url is
/author. Perhaps the issue is at the FB side. -
Hi there, experiencing the same problem, but not on all my posts. The name appears on all of my blog posts between May 9th and May 26th.

We don’t have a solution as of yet. The issue seems sporadic so we’re still trying to track down exactly what is triggering this to happen. Going forward, the link to the WordPress.com post (that when shared produces the error on Facebook) would be very helpful!
