Wrong author showing on posts shared to social media

    Hey everyone. I recently purchased and installed a theme to use for my resume. It has a whole host of issues that I’ve had to go in and fix.. but that’s neither here nor there.

    For some reason, the name of the theme creator is showing up on every blog post I share to Facebook. I’ve tried a number of solutions, including creating a new admin, logging in, deleting the old admin etc. etc. I’ve tried adding meta tags for authors to the head section in the CSS… I’ve installed Yoast, and tried to change authorship that way. No matter what I do, “Vojtech Sebo” shows up as the author on Facebook.

    I’m listed as the author on WordPress. I honestly have no idea how to fix this and I’m getting a bit frustrated :( Anyone have any tips?

    Hi, you’ve posted your question in the forums for sites hosted on WordPressdotcom, but it appears that the site you’ve linked to is using a standalone WP install.

    Are you using the Jetpack Publicize Module? If so you can find some assistance on the Jetpack site: https://jetpack.com/support/ or in the jetpack forums linked to from this page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/ If you need to log in at Jetpack and don’t have an ORG username, you can register one on that page.

    WordPressdotcom and standalone WP are separate entities. You can learn more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
