Wrong Blog appears
-
I recently created two blogs- which I did not intend to do. I only want one blog, The Weekend Country Girl, not kasmithson’s blog. How do I get rid of the blog I did not intend to create and make the secondary blog attached to theweekendcountrygirl.wordpress address?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok, so it looks like the blog you don’t want is this one: http://theweekendcountrygirl.wordpress.com/
and the blog you DO want is this one: http://theweekendcountrygirl.com/You can export all the posts from the one you don’t want, and import them into the blog you do want.
To do this, go to the dashboard of the blog you DON’T want.
Go to Tools > Export:
https://theweekendcountrygirl.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=export-choicesYou’ll want to select “Export” and it will generate an XML file.
Save that somewhere handy.
Now, go to the dashboard of the blog you DO want.
Go to Tools > Import:
https://theweekendcoutrygirl.wordpress.com/wp-admin/import.phpYou’ll want to select the “WordPress” option.
You’ll need to leave the OLD blog up and functional while the import takes place in order to transfer images.
After everything has transferred to your satisfaction, I recommend going to the old blog and setting it to “private” (Settings > Reading > Site visibility:
https://theweekendcountrygirl.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php)Because a deleted blog can never be recovered – so if someone else ever wanted to use this blog address, they wouldn’t be able to ask you for a transfer, for example. So in these cases, we recommend the user set the blog to private – it can’t be seen by anyone or by search engines, so it will be essentially deleted.
Let me know if you have any problems with any of these steps!
