Wrong country-wise distribution of bog visitors
-
Hello,
I have observed that I have received a few likes on my last post https://juusd.wordpress.com/2015/07/19/how-to-rock-an-off-white-suit/
These likes are from individuals from different countries. The issue here is when I check my stats for July 20 (when I posted the mentioned post) it gives the entire number of visitors from Pakistan, which doesn’t make sense, since none of the likes came from Pakistani blogs. Any help/clarification would be much appreciated here. Thank you.Regards,

Hi there. First, the stats aren’t real-time and some stats may update at different times than others. That’s why you’ll often see that your visitor country stats and your overall visitor stats sometimes don’t match.
Second, the country stats are based on visitor’s IP addresses. It could be visitors from other countries are logged as being from Pakistan because they’re using a VPN or TOR which shows a Pakistani IP instead of their real one, but there’s really no way to tell if that’s the case.
Lastly, keep in mind that people can like your posts from the Reader or the mobile app without visiting your blog at all. In that case you’ll see the like, but no pageview will be generated and you won’t see any visitor stats regarding those likes.
