Wrong date on blog

Why would a blog be posted with the wrong date? We posted on May 26, 2013, but the blog and the stats insist that it was posted on May 20. It is not a big deal, but it is puzzling. Why is the date wrong and can it be corrected? We post every two weeks on a Sunday, regular as clockwork; the blog is called Parisian Fields.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s strange. You can edit the date stamp in the Publish module and then click “update”. I know you are not scheduling a post but images are worth thousands of words.

Is it only one post that this has happened on? Would you like to check to confirm your date and timezone are set correctly here? > Settings > General ?

Thank you, that worked. And thanks for the tip about scheduling, which is a feature we hadn’t used before.

And yes, it was just a single occurrence — the date and timezone were correct. Odd.

If you last saved the draft on the 20th and then hit publish on the 26th without saving it on that day (the 26th) it will still think it is the 20th’s post and date it for then.
I have been caught out by that before! Before you hit publish you have to save it and then it will change the date to the current one and publish it correctly.

Mystery solved! That would indeed explain it. Thanks.

    You’re welcome. :D
I was puzzled when it happened to me and it took a while to work out what I had done!
