Wrong E-Mail address at registration
-
Hey there,
I’ve registrated a new account here, but typed a wrong E-Mail address… the ending of the domain is wrong, the rest is correct.
Could anyone correct this maybe?

correct: (email visible only to moderators and staff)Thanks a lot!
And would you please redact the view of the e-mail addresses here after solving the problem?

Yeah, I also see this now. Didn’t knew that this happens automatically. ;-) But I guess support members / staffs can see it though.

Hi @xskater, go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and update the email address. Then look for a confirmation email and click the link it contains. If you need more help, let us know.

Hi @supernovia,
there’s no issue with this (xskater) account, but with another one I’ve created today. I can’t log in in that one, because I couldn’t not receive the email to confirm it. But now I see my problem. I’ve created it on the dashboard of xskater by changing a blog address (there you can change between keeping the same user or registering a new one). I don’t remember the password I had chosen. I guess it’s not possible to reset the password of that account via xskater? -
@supernovia again: Or it’s not possible to simply change the ending of the email from my 2nd account from *.com to *.de ? Then everything would be fine.
I tried to create a 2nd email account on Yahoo with the same account name but .com to receive the confirmation email from WP, but Yahoo says it’s not possible, because the account name is already given (to me, unfortunately not @yahoo.com but @yahoo.de)

You can log in without confirming an email address, so long as you have the username and password. You just wouldn’t be able to post until the address is confirmed.
Go ahead and log into the account you want to change, then go here and update the address:

I don’t know the password I’ve chosen, that’s the point. And I can’t reset it, because the email is wrong (it must be “.de” not “.com”)

If you can’t remember the password and do not have access to the email, you’ll need to use our account recovery process:
