wrong email

  I set up my account under the wrong email. I put it as (email visible only to moderators and staff), leaving out the ‘a’ in yahoo. So I am unable to get the emails to approve changes or even to verify updating my email address. Can you please help me get this changed.

  While logged into your account, go to account settings and correct your email address: https://wordpress.com/me/account

  When you click the Save Account Settings button, there’ll be a message saying that there’s a pending change and to check your inbox for confirmation.

  I am not able to do that as it send the verification email to the wrong email address. Can you please help me change it to the correct email which is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Every time I try to correct the email it says it will send an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) which is the wrong email address that I do not have access to. I cannot check the “inbox” it refers to as that is not really my email address

  Hi there,

  If your correct email address is linked to another WordPress.com account, you won’t be able to use it with this account. You’ll need to choose a different, unique email address for this account. (Each WordPress.com account needs to be linked to a different email address.)

  If you need to reset the password for another WordPress.com account, you can enter your email address in this form to reset the password:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  My email is not linked to another wordpress account. I simply enter my emailed spelled wrong. I entered it as (email visible only to moderators and staff) when it should have been entered as (email visible only to moderators and staff) (correct email)

  To be sure, please try entering the correct email address in the password reset form:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  If that form reports that there is no account linked to that email address, or it doesn’t let you reset the password, let me know and I can continue helping you with that.
