Wrong email

I am trying to change the email associated with the page I am creating, and I keep receiving a warning notice stating that there is a problem saving my settings. I originally created the account using the email address ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’. This email does not exist. I need to change it to ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’, but WordPress is not allowing me to do so.

You cannot use the same email address on multiple accounts.

It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
1. Make sure your email address is correct here please https://wordpress.com/me/account or update it.
2. Then for your verification email check in your email spam filter and under your “social” tab in your Gmail account please, if you use it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/
