Wrong email address

  I created a new account but I gave a wrong email address. So I cann’t active the new account. I tried to change the account settings related to the email address but it still tries to send the confirmation message to the old email.
  How can I resolve this issue?

  When you update the email shown in the account settings page, you should see a message saying that there’s a pending change. Check your inbox for the confirmation email and click the link within to verify your email address. The old (wrong) address just gets a notice saying the change has been requested. There isn’t a confirmation link included in that one so you don’t need access to that account.

  If that still doesn’t work, add “modlook” to the tags for this thread to let WordPress.com staff know that you need assistance with this issue.
