Wrong email address

  Hello,

  I incorrectly entered my email address when I created my account. I left out a letter.
  It has been showing a ‘pending change’ information box in the Account Settings for a couple of days now. I am assuming the confirmation link has been sent to the incorrect email. Any way to fix this?

  Hi @dodgydepiction, no problem. Head to https://wordpress.com/me/account and enter the new address, then look for confirmation at that corrected address.

  If your old address still shows in the pending box, please click cancel and update to the proper address. Thanks!

  Hi, during creating my account, i inserted wrong email address.
  i tried to change the email address, but it state my request is pending and required me to go to the wrong email to click the confirmation link.
  so how?

  Hi @swimrush, can you try the steps I recommend for @dodgydepiction ?

  The confirmation will go to the new address (the one you enter.)

  If needed, you can cancel an update and try again. Be sure to enter the proper email address when you change it, and if you have trouble, let us know what happens.

  Thanks @supernovia for the quick reply. I followed the link and the correct email address was already showing with the “pending change” box. I cancelled it and re-typed the new address again, in the hopes it would reset something, but still no email has come through. Any other ideas?

  Hi @dodgydepiction, our servers confirm the emails are being delivered. Maybe they’re in your spam / bulk / social folder?

  I’ve also just sent an email myself. If you’ll respond there I can confirm the new address for you.
