Wrong email address at registration

I tried setting up a blog for a friend and can only think I mistyped her email address. Is this just a matter of time to wait for the registration email (wherever it may have gone) to degrade before trying again? I have seen other requests of this nature where, I assume, an admin has intervened and resolved the issue but but I don’t want to bother anyone if it is just a matter of time.
