Wrong email address, but the other email address is active

  Hi there!
  I accidentally typed in a wrong e-mail address during the registration, but it turns out that the wrong e-mail address is active, and now a stranger across the world is being bothered with my wordpress emails.
  Please help me sort this out, because I don’t want to look like a bad person who uses other people’s accounts or nothing.
  And it won’t let me change my e-mail address either without the approval of the original email address.

  Hi @meister2112 , you actually can change your email address without approval from the original address. You would do that here:

  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  The confirmation will be sent to your new (corrected) email. If you’re having trouble with that, please let us know.
