Wrong email at registration

Unfortunately, I registered my blog under the wrong email. I attempted to change it via the account settings, but it still needs to verify the original email address (which to my knowledge doesn’t actually exist).
Is there any way I can get the account deleted perhaps so that I may re-register with the correct email?
The registration was done on wordpress.com.

You can go to your account settings to update your account https://wordpress.com/me/account to the correct email address. That will send a confirmation email to the new, correct address so you can confirm it.
