wrong email contact

  Hello,

  My email — (email visible only to moderators and staff) — is connected to a user I don’t know. It should be connected to the site under my authorship: https://girlwalksin.wordpress.com

  How do we get my email reconnected to my wordpress site so I can continue to post with my identity?

  Your site https://girlwalksin.wordpress.com/ is connected to another account of yours. Log out from current michele9fdadf9f06 and log in again to the account owning that site.

  Thank you for this but all roads lead back to the same identity.

  I logged out and log back in with two different emails… just to test it.

  So this is interesting. I did use what I thought would be the username (it’s been 3 years since I posted & when I did it was from a different laptop which automatically allowed access) and that led me to the same faux identity (not mine, and someone who ‘does not have a site.’

  I am not the person whose poster appears here. That username belongs
  to someone who apparently does not have a site. I did recover a receipt
  from WordPress connecting the real me to this site and have submitted
  it to the Dept of Happiness.

  Hi, I’m glad you were able to locate a receipt! It does definitely sound like a case of “accidental second WordPress.com account” – our Happiness Engineers will be able to work through it with you by email.
