Wrong email during registration

I made a typo when registering my e-mail. I need to accept the notification sent by WordPress thus verifying my account, but I cannot access that e-mail because of the mistake. I would like to keep my user name. please help me change my email.

I cannot update the email because activation email was sent to the wrong address which belongs to someone else. I need staff support to send the activation email to my correct email address for me to activate WordPress and change email ASAP. Tq

According to this Staff reply from @rachelmcr, you should be able to update your email address in your Account Settings: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/changing-email-19?replies=2
Give it a try and let us know if you need more help with that.

As justjennifer mentioned, you can update the email address in your account settings even if your original email address isn’t verified. That way, you can fix errors in the original email address you entered and verify the correct address.

Hello, same problem here but when I change my settings with the correct email, it says “There was a problem saving your changes”. How can I do?
