Wrong email entered upon signup

Good day,
I just tried to signup for WordPress with the username ‘christech5’ and the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I must’ve mistyped the email address as I haven’t recieved a confimation email yet and when I try to get it resent from the support page it tells me that it doesn’t recognize the email address. There’s no feature available to change the email address for my account so how can I rectify this mistake?
Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated.

I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please post both the email address that’s wrong as well as the correct one here. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I don’t know what error I made when typing the email address so I have no way of posting the wrong email address but it’ll be almost exactly the same as (email visible only to moderators and staff) (which is what I intended to type) and I made the username ‘christech5’

Hi Chris,
You can change the account email address by logging in to that account and entering the correct email address in your account settings. You’ll receive a confirmation email at the new address, and you can click the link in that email to confirm the change.

Hello Rachel,
I’ve tried to log in to change the email address several times from 3 different devices and I just get the message, ‘Your account has not been activated. We sent you an email with a link to activate. Resend activation email’ along with the Username and Password fields underneath it. I can’t access my account at all. The account I’m using to comment here hasn’t been activated either though but I can access it without using the activation link. So I’m very confused :/
