Wrong Email used to register account

Recently I created an account for a friend, however he erred in giving me the wrong E-Mail address for said account. It is registered as quartermileracing.wordpress.com with the non-existent email of (email visible only to moderators and staff). Is there a way to reset this to a proper email address? He has paid for premium service so simply starting a new account is out of the question.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I think you mean http://quartermileclassics.wordpress.com/

Can you please tell me the date and amount of the transaction, then which email address you want a new password sent to? If the date and amount match, I’ll send it out ASAP.

  • Actually, never mind that last part.

Do you remember the password that you set when you created it? If so, you can change the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the blog’s Dashboard.

We tried resetting the password and that was when we discovered the fault. The gentleman paid for the $99 premium package on AUG 29th of this year. The correct address is (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  • If you don’t click the confirmation link in the password reset email, the old password will still work. Have you tried that?

If it’s not working for you, would you please also verify if this was purchased via credit card or PayPal?

If it was purchased via credit card, do not post the credit card number here, just let us know that it was a card.

I have tried the above but I think the password reset sent to the bogus address before we realized. The payment was made via credit card.

  • I have sent an email with further details. If you have any question, please reply to the email.
