My page publishes to the wrong Facebook account. I have one for business and one for personal. When I click on the Facebook publish icon, it pulls up the Facebook accounts, but not the correct one. – David

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I see that you’ve disconnected your Facebook account. When you go to Dashboard > Settings > Sharing and click “Add new account” do you see the options to set up your real Facebook account? Or is that where you’re experiencing problems?

    Cheers

  • Hi again David,

Which blog were you concerned about? The team has disassociated your publicize on http://upstreamitrecruiter.wordpress.com/

So your next steps will be to go to that blog’s sharing page (Dashboard > Settings > Sharing), and set up the Facebook account from scratch. At the end of the connection process, you will be directed back to WordPress. You need to select your Page in the bottom of the dialog that appears, then click OK to complete the process properly (you hadn’t done this part before). Once you’ve done that, the page will reload and you should see your Page name listed as the connected account.

Let me know if this doesn’t work for you, but you should be all set!

Thank you, but no, that doesn’t quite get it. I follow your instructions and when I go to add a Facebook account, it brings up my personal Facebook page and gives me no other choice other than to choose it. I can’t get it to let me connect Facebook from scratch. It does not go through a connection process. Somehow I need to DELETE my original Facebook connection, but I can’t.

Ah! I figured it out. WordPress only recognizes Facebook pages you are logged into. I have to log out of my personal Facebook to be able to log in to my professional Facebook page (not sure why I can’t log into both in different web sessions, but….). Once I log into the professional, it picks that one up and connects the WordPress to it.

    Thanks for your help…..
